Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! To proceed further, what type of payroll service are you using (i.e. Enhanced, Assisted, and so forth)? If you're uncertain, click Ctrl K at the same time, and it will show if there is an active subscription. Here are a few things to do to verify the payroll subscription:
- Update to the latest Quickbooks Desktop release and downloaded the newest tax table release.
- Open the Payroll Account Management portal. Close the page.
- Restart your computer.
- Once again, download the payroll tax table.
- Reset QuickBooks Desktop Update.
