Can you code commissions paid thru payroll to a project?

Currently, we're unable to code commissions to the project that you've paid through payroll since the two can't be connected. However, you can create a journal entry for the commission accounts to apply to their respective jobs. Let me guide you how:

 

  1. In your QuickBooks Online, click the + New button, then select Journal entry.
  2. On the page, select the appropriate accounts from the drop-down.
  3. Fill out the necessary information.
  4. Click Save and close.

Also, I'd suggest contacting your accountant. They can offer further guidance on choosing the right accounts to use.
