I have been using QB for about five years now. This is the first time I had a major problem and truly needed help. I can honestly say that this was a very trying and frustrating experience. I cannot recommend this product to anyone else. Positively the worst customer service and not worth the expense. Why send the above response to my question and make it impossible for me to reply back when I still needed help? I would have easily told you that I had already tried every suggestion I could find online, including the one you sent me. I was a Peachtree customer for over twenty years and never failed to reach someone by phone. While I eventually managed to figure out how to "talk" to someone online, even that was trying because this is a desktop application. The problem is now fixed, but I will never be the same not feel the same.

I understand the urgency to get it resolved right away here in the Community. However, there are times that only our phone support team can verify the status of your payroll service as they have all the resources to securely pull up your information.

How did you fix the problem? I am getting nowhere with QB support.
Have done everything I've read on line to no avail. And multiple times.
Problem is still not fixed.

You'll want to make sure to get the latest payroll update so you can use payroll. Let me walk you through with the steps.
Please check this article in case you're trying to enter your service and disk delivery keys for the update: Get The Latest Payroll Tax Table Update.
However, if you're still unable to use payroll, I recommend contacting our support team to help you perform another possible ways so you can access payroll again. You can follow the steps provided by @MaryLandT on this thread.
To make sure that you don't encounter any issues in QuickBooks Desktop, you'll want to update QuickBooks to the latest release.
