Child Support Garnishment

I am trying to put in the exact amount that the state is telling me I need to take out of a paycheck for child support. I have done that and it shows correctly but when I create the paycheck only a smaller amount is being taken out. I have $135.92 in the system but when the paycheck gets created only $107.80 is being taken out. I have searched and can't find how to correct this. It is set up to come out weekly. Thanks for any help I can get on this!

Welcome to the Community. I'd be glad to assist you with your concern about the Child Support Garnishment setup.

I've checked here and haven't found any ongoing issue concerning the garnishment setup for Intuit Online Payroll. You can review the information you enter from the employee profile to ensure the calculation will be correct.

Here are the steps:

Open your Intuit Online Payroll account.
Go to the Employees tab.
Click the employee name.
Scroll-down to Deductions & Contributions, and click Edit.

If there's a need for you to edit a paycheck, you can go to your home page and click View Paycheck List.
