Is it better to delete an employee or make them inactive in QuickBooks? We had an employee quit and I just wasn't sure what might be the wiser of the two?
If you've ever paid them with a paycheck or recorded any other type of transaction using the employee name, then you can't delete them. However, you can make them inactive.
