Federal Unemployement "We calculated the amount due for this period and found that you don't owe any taxes. We adjusted your tax liability accordingly." but not adjusted.

I keep trying to pay as it shows up under Payroll Tax as being past due. It just keeps telling me that I dont owe anything and that it updated my tax liabiltiy accordingly but it never goes away from my payroll tax due list.

Thanks for dropping by the Community, txgatorboy1.

I appreciate your efforts in trying to remove the payroll tax notice. We’ll have to investigate what triggers the error message to show. The process needs us to collect personal data to open your account.

I recommend contacting our Payroll Support Team for further assistance. They can access your payroll information in a secure space. Then, review the tax payments and perform a payroll correction to fix the issue.

To reach them:

  1. Click on the Help icon at the top to display the QB Assistant window.
  2. Press the Talk to a human menu and enter the issue/topic. For example, payroll concerns.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
  4. From the option, select Message an agent for real-time assistance or Get a callback.

I’ve included an article that provides an overview of how QBO reminds when a tax payment is due and steps to pay it: Make tax payments.

Feel free to get back to me if I can be of further help. I'll be around to assist you. Have a great day ahead.
