We can perform some troubleshooting steps to get the mileage trips in the Android app to sync in your account, jatkinson.

Let's make sure your phone’s location permissions are set to Allow all the time option. Then, the physical activity permission is also set to Allow option.

Once done, go to your phone settings to allow QuickBooks Online (QBO) to run in the background while your phone is using data. Then, update your Android app to give you access to the latest features and improves app security/stability.

For the steps and details, you can check out this article: Android mileage tracking troubleshooting guide. Then, go to Permission to run in the background (whitelist) and Update your app section.

Turns out, it is not an issue with QB app syncing with QB on-line.  The mileage events are actually in QB on-line but it was far from obvious.

The newest mileage trips did not appear to be in QB on-line because QB on-line does not sort in date order.   I figured this out and posted a separate question on sorting mileage by date order.

Believe there is a buffering issue as well. If there are a large number of trips recorded by Android QB Mobile (e.g., a long distance, multiple stop, multiple days trips) only so many trips download to QBO. If you exit QBO and log back in the missing trips show up in QBO. This has happened to me on multiple occasions. Thought I had lost a lot of data the first time, but it just didn't all get downloaded.
