How i can change pay date after payroll has been submitted

I'll provide the two options on how you can change the pay date after you've submitted your payroll, @angelica5

The cut-off time for direct deposit (DD) processing usually happens at 5 pm PST, two banking days before the paycheck date. It also depends on the payroll service you have, such as 1-day or 5-day lead time.

If you've sent the payroll before the cut-off time, let's first delete them. I'll guide you how.

  1. Go to Workers or Payroll menu and select Employees.
  2. Click Paycheck list under Run Payroll.
  3. Set the date range and select the pay checks you want to delete.
  4. Click Delete.
  5. Mark the checkmark box to confirm deletion.
  6. Choose Delete Paycheck.

Once done, let's recreate the paychecks with the correct pay date. For more details, check out this article: Editing Paycheck Date. Just go to the QuickBooks Online Payroll Full Service, QuickBooks Online Payroll Premium, QuickBooks Online Payroll Elite section.

If the payroll is already processed, I'd suggest contacting our Customer Care Team to help you void the paychecks. From there, you'll have to recreate them with the correct pay date. That way, we can ensure your payroll and W-2's information are accurate. You'll first have to review our support hours to ensure they can assist you on time. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu at the upper right.
  2. Select Contact Us
  3. Enter How can I change pay date after payroll has been submitted? in the What can we help you with? box.
  4. Click Let's talk
  5. Choose a way to connect with a live agent.

You can always visit this website: Change An Employee Paycheck. This link provides you more information about what "can be" or "can't be" edited on an employee's paycheck.

Lastly, I recommend running any payroll reports in the program. These will help you get a closer look at your business' finances, payroll costs, and employees. To access them, visit this article: Payroll Reports Overview

I'll be right here to help if there's anything else you need. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, @angelica5
