Please keep me in the loop if you need further assistance. I'm always here to help you out. Have a great day!
This just prints copy D. I need the copy to manually file with the SSA, Copy A
Hi there, @DES7. Congrats on your first post in the Community! 🎉
I'm here to help you print Copy A of the W-2. The steps my colleague above supplied are accurate for printing Copy A of Form W-2 at this time in QuickBooks Online. If you're having issues printing Copy A, I recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Online Support Team. They have the tools necessary to share your screen visually to resolve your issues.
Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to be of assistance. Cheers to a safe and productive week ahead!
Thanks, but it only prints copy D, employer copy.
The box is checked to electronically file, but I don't want to electronically file and the only way I can get copy A at this time is to hit "submit" to electronically file. I am working with support, been on the phone now for over an hour and they can't figure it out.
That's right, DES7.
W-2 Copy A can only be sent electronically to the Social Security Administration. If you need to file direct to SSA, you can print the Copy D and use it as a reference in filling out the boxes for the W-2.
You can check online for a rewrittable Form W-2. You may refer to this as well, https://www.ssa.gov/employer/paperFormInstr.htm.
Just follow the steps provided by my colleague above on how to print the other copies. I'll be around if you need further assistance.
