Please know that the option to have the convenience or merchant fees charged to customers is not available because there are some states that doesn't allow this yet.
You can follow these steps on how to turn off the online payments options in QBO:
Please note that this would also remove from your Payments account in QBO.
If you want to permanently close your payments processing account, please see the details and follow the steps in this article as well: Close a payments processing account.

My clients don't have the option to remove the credit card. There is no "editable" section in the payments to do so.
Welcome to the thread, @SBernotas.
The mode of payment your customer will have depends on the type of payment chosen when creating the invoice.
If you select credit card, then your customer can have this option. Thus, removing the said payment mode to be done by your client isn't possible.
In the meantime, you can delete and recreate the invoice and select the payment method that you want. Then, resend the invoice to your client.

My client doesn't "chose" which payment option their customer gets. WISH it was that easy. They have to (1) click to Edit the options; then (2) click to turn off a particular, or both options. Extra steps when other clients can just choose to have it default based upon the invoice style. For whatever reason, even though this client is on QBO Plus, like a number of my other clients, I can not change this. I have attempted to "edit" the payment option in the Invoice Style, but soon as you click on the "Done" button, it defaults to allow the credit card. QBO support was online looking at this and don't know why it won't allow this option to be removed.
Hi SBernotas,
You'll want to remove the option in the Accounts and Settings if your Payments account is linked to QuickBooks Online (QBO)
Here's how:
This will permanently remove from your Payments account. Once removed, you can send the invoice to your customer.

There is no option to "Edit" the Payments Method - not on any of my clients: QBO Plus or QBO Essentials.
I had already googled this and saw the directions to do that.
Again, I had a QBO rep sharing my screen and it baffled her too.
@SBernotas Thank you for clarifying.
Looking back at the steps given, I think the reason you don't see the option to remove online processing from invoice templates is because you're in the wrong Payments tab.
Here are the steps I took to test disabling the feature:
It might seem as if the boxes reverted to their original state but once you create a new invoice you'll see the boxes are no longer checked off for online payment processing.
Let me know if that helps!
I've followed these instructions and it did revert back to the original settings - Credit Card option is still checked. Any reason why it wouldn't save?
Thanks for joining this conversation, @jtorcicollo.
Performing the steps shared by my colleagues above should help turn off the option for the clients to pay using a credit card. Since it's still showing, I highly suggest contacting our Merchant Support team. They're able to pull up your account using their screen-sharing (remote access) tool in a secure environment and investigate this odd behavior.
To reach them, please refer to this article and proceed to the QuickBooks Online with Payments & Merchant Service Center section to get their most updated contact information: Contact Payments Support.
Just in case, I'll add this article for future reference: Cancel your QuickBooks Payments subscription.
