It's nice to have you back in the Community, @cheryl23.

Let me help you with setting up a new employee's information.

For Full Service, you can set up a new employee's address on the Personal information section. This will determine the tax implications, so make sure the address field contains the employee's physical home address and not their mailing address.

Here's how:

  1. In the left navigation bar, click Workers and select Employees.
  2. Click Add an Employee.
  3. Enter the employee's info and select Continue.

For more information about entering employee's information, you can check this helpful article: Change Employee Details.

That should do it. Keep me posted if you're able to enter the address successfully. I'll be around to help if you encounter any issues with the setup.

Thank you, however when I get to the section on the W4 to enter the stat it gives me only two options to select, FL or PA, I need to enter a Mississippi address and it will not let me.

Hello, @cheryl23.

The stored data and temporary files in your browsers’ history may affect its performance. I can provide you with some troubleshooting steps so you’ll be able to update your employee’s information.

Here’s how:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online account using an incognito or private browser. Use either of the following shortcut keys:
    • Google Chrome, press CTRL + Shift + N
    • Mozilla Firefox: press CTRL + Shift + P
    • Internet Explorer: Press CTRL + Shift + P
    • Safari: press Command + Shift + N
  2. If you’re able to enter your employee’s correct address, you may want to clear the cache of your regular web browsers.
  3. If the issue persists, you can use other web browsers.
