I had an employee in October that there were no federal tax with held. FritzF (Moderator) responded. Unfortunately, everything he mentioned did not solve the problem?

Let me help share information about the things you need to consider which will affect the calculation of your employee federal taxes.

When you enter W4 employee details in the payroll system, federal taxes are calculated not with a fixed rate. But consider taking note of the following information and making sure they are accurate for the correct calculation of your employee's taxes:

• Taxable wages
• Number of allowances/dependents
• Pay frequency
• Filing status

Nothing works - I have tried to schedule a callback, but I can't even get that to work. Since there is nothing that allows me to click on to schedule a call back?

The employee tax withheld depends on how the payroll is set up. Since you've already checked, I'd suggest reaching out to our Customer Care Team using our QuickBooks Online Sample Account. They'll be able to perform a screen share and identify the root cause and create an investigation if necessary.

1. Go to this link: https://qbo.intuit.com/redir/testdrive_us_advanced.
2. Choose Help at the top, then select Contact Us. 
3. Type your concern in the description field and hit Continue. 
4. Pick either Get a callback or Schedule appointment.
5. Complete the required information, then submit the request.
