Join nowHello there, bost05,
You're always posted about the upcoming taxes due in the Tax Payments Due 30 Days section on your Home page.
You may have accidentally submitted your federal income taxes. That's why it's not showing up in QuickBooks Online.
You can easily access a report of tax payments you've already made. Let me show you how to do it:
If that's not the case, it could be a browser-related issue. Clearing the browser's cache and cookies will help isolate this.
If you're getting the same results, I recommend chatting with our QuickBooks Online Payroll Team. They can further investigate what's causing your federal taxes due not to show up in the system.
I've added this article: See Tax Payments And Forms to find returns you've already filed.
Let me know how everything goes or if there's anything else you need concerning payroll. I'm always right here to help.
I have absolutely 100% not paid the payroll taxes yet - even checked the liability reports and payments history. I tried clearing browser cache. I even tried contacting the QuickBooks Online Payroll support, and cannot get through! The online chat issued a case number and said someone would be with me in 5 minutes, and I waited for an hour. Then I tried again, and still did not get a response. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

This response totally missed the point of the question.
They know how to pay the tax and how to see the liability report, the point is that the payroll was run and the "pay tax" button is normally there right away, but it is not.
They do not want to wait two, three or more days to complete the task.
This seems to be a random issue that happens some weeks, but not all the time.
Engineering needs to take a look at this.
