My employee has changed her filing status from Married filing joint to Married but filing single. How do i make this change.

I made the edit in the employee payroll section but it does not change and stays the same.

My employee has changed her filing status from Married filing joint to Married but filing single. How do i make this change.

You did the right steps in updating filing status, mehrnousht.

 

If you have not tried refreshing the page, let's do that by pressing F5 on your keyboard. Then, check if the filing status is changed. Otherwise, follow the steps below to do the basic troubleshooting.

 

Open your QuickBooks Online account in an incognito or private browser. This mode prevents your browsing history from being stored. You can use the keyboard shortcuts below: 

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

Go to the Employees page and update the filing status. If it's successful, go back and open your regular browser, then clear its cache. Clearing the cache fixes certain problems, like loading or formatting issues on sites.

 

Please make sure to restart your browser afterwards. On the other hand, use a different supported browser to check if you're getting the same issue.
