I am trying to add an employee and pay them from the previous week using my payroll on quick-books. I have entered all my bank information connected our bank and then added the employee but when I go to pay her it keeps giving me a notice to contact quick-books but I have not found a way to contact quick-books its keeps directing me back to the help icon.

Hello there, @bchorman.

I can share some insights about adding previous payroll in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

After setting up an employee, you no longer have the option to create backdated paycheck. In that case, you have to contact our phone support. They have all the tools needed to pull up your account and add the paychecks under your company.

Check out this link to get their contact detail: QBO Payroll Team.

That's it. I'm still here to help you more if you have other payroll inquiry. Wishing you all the best!

Glad to see you in QuickBooks Community, @hairology.

Just to ensure I'm on the same page, did you receive an Unexpected token for JSON at position 0? If so, we have a reported issue about this error for users who are using QBO App (Win & Mac). Our Engineers are currently working to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

If you are affected by this, I'd suggest reaching out to our Online Support so they can sign you up to receive email updates as soon as they become available.

In the meantime, you can use a regular browser when working in QBO to avoid any interruptions.

Please know that I’m always here to help if you have additional concerns. Wishing you the best!
