PAYROLL - I recently renewed my enhanced payroll subscription and now my employess can no longer access their paystubs online

Hello smiles4life,

In QuickBooks Desktop Payroll, you can create and send direct deposit paychecks to your employees.

And please make sure your employees are invited so they’ll able to access their paystubs.

Here’s how:

  1. Select Employees at the top, then Send Payroll Data.
  2. In the Send/Receive Payroll Data window, review the following information in the Items to Send area.
  3. Select Send All.
  4. Enter your Payroll Service PIN then click OK.
  5. Under Items Received, select View to view Confirmation Reports.
  6. Select Close to close the Send/Receive Data window.

Please see this article for additional details about the steps: Send payroll and direct deposit paychecks in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.

PAYROLL - I recently renewed my enhanced payroll subscription and now my employess can no longer access their paystubs online

When I/they go online to workforce to access paystubs we get this message:

We weren't able to show your payroll info - Refreshing your screen often fixes the problem.

Refreshing it doesn't fix the problem.  I believe it has some thing to do with the new subscription.

Hi there, smiles4life.

This was an error before. However, it was already fixed by our engineers. I would recommend reaching out to our Support to check this further. We're advised to let you contact them if the error persists, so they can do some changes to your account on their end.

  1. Click on Help and choose Contact us.
  2. Enter this in the description field: When my employees/I go online to Workforce to access paystubs we get this message: We weren't able to show your payroll info - Refreshing your screen often fixes the problem.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. Select Message an agent.

You can have one employee with you while checking with Support to check if they can access their account.

Let me know if you have other questions in mind.

Hello @pamearch0614,

In QuickBooks Desktop, accessing your paychecks online needs permission coming from your employer. With this, I'd recommend contacting them and ask for an invitation to let you access your paychecks remotely.

In the same manner, here's an article you can read and share with them to learn more about how the invitation works: How you can Invite your Employees to see their Pay Stubs and W-2s and let them add their Personal In...

On top of that, I've also included this reference helpful with the steps needed so you can review your paycheck and employment information online: How to see your Paychecks, W-2s, and Personal Info in Workforce.

Don't hesitate to post again here if you have other questions or concerns with QuickBooks tasks and navigations. I'm always around happy to help. Take care and stay safe!
