Direct Deposit? It should have pulled the total from your bank yesterday, one day prior to being deposited to employees. And you are correct in thinking it should be in their accounts first thing in the morning.
Did you process payroll after 5 PM Pacific on Wednesday?
If the funds never left your bank account yesterday there is something wrong with the submission and about the only thing you can do at this point, for employees that cannot wait until next Tuesday for a new submission today (takes 2 business days) you will have to issue paper checks and ask them to immediately ay you back if the deposits happen next week.
You cannot edit or stop the process through QB but you can possibly halt it at your bankbif tge funds have not transferred out yet.
