Paystubs

My employer sent me the invite for workforce but I keep getting an error message that says There is something wrong on our end we are working on it! SO what do I do now?

I'll make sure you're able to accept the invite, nsingleton.

Usually, when a user encounters unexpected behavior, we can perform basic browser troubleshooting to resolve this. The error could be a browser-related issue.

Let's start by accessing the email invite via a private/incognito browser. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P

Once signed in, open the email and click the Accept invitation link. If it works, we'll have to go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to eliminate the junk files.

If the same thing happens, we can use other supported browsers. It could be that the one you're currently using right now has a temporary problem with QuickBooks Workforce.

Additionally, here are some helpful references that you can check to help manage your paychecks and W-2s:

I can guide you on how to fix the alignment when printing paystubs, Amj3.

There's a setting that you need to adjust to ensure the details on paychecks are correctly align before printing them. You'll need QuickBooks-compatible check stock to print your paychecks.

Check stubs can be printed on regular printer paper. Before you print your checks on check stock for the first time, print the alignment sheet on regular printer paper.

Let me show you the steps:

Step 1: Set up printing preference

  1. Go to Settings ⚙, then select Payroll Settings.
  2. In the Preferences section, select Paycheck Printing.
  3. Select Preprinted QuickBooks-compatible voucher check stock.
  4. Select Print 1 stub or Print 2 stubs, then OK.

Step 2: Set up check alignment

  1. Click Open Alignment Window, then print the sample check.
  2. Follow the instructions, then close the window.
  3. Select Align Checks, then print the PDF file.
  4. Follow the instructions, then enter the letter and number that fits best.
  5. Click Update Settings, then OK.

Step 3: Print a sample paycheck

  1. Go to Payroll menu, then select Employees.
  2. In the My Payroll section, select Paycheck list.
  3. Select a paycheck, then select Print.

When you print a sample check but the information is too:

  • Low - Enter a letter that’s before the letter K (A to J) to move the information up.
  • High - Enter a letter that’s after the letter K (L to X) to move the information down.
  • Far-right - Enter a number that’s less than 5 (0 to 4) to move the information to the left.
  • Far-left - Enter a number that’s more than 5 (6 to 9) to move the information to the right.
