Please help, I need to convert W2 2019 and W2 2018 to EF W2 format for Social Security, Please advise.

The EFW2 format is used to report W-2 forms electronically with the SSA. Though, QuickBooks Online can electronically file W-2 forms, we're unable to download this type of format. The best option I can suggest is to download the W-2s from QuickBooks Online and use it as a reference when you file it to the SSA.

I need a copy of my 2018 W2

I can guide you on how to get a copy of your 2018 W2, @W2 2018.

Let’s go to the Taxes menu and print a copy from there.

Here’s how:

1. Go to the Taxes menu. 
2. Select Payroll Tax.
3. Click the Annual Forms link in the Forms section, 
4. Select either All Employees or a specific employee name from the drop-down menu.
5. Click the W-2, Copies B, C & 2 link. 
6. Choose 2018 from the drop-down menu.
7. Select View to launch Adobe Reader in a new window.
8. Click the print icon on the Reader toolbar and simply click Print again.

If you need to prepare the form for Social Security Administration (SSA), you can follow the workaround provided by AlexV. You can either download the W-2s from QuickBooks Online and use it as a reference when you file it to the SSA. Or, you may use a third-party converter by looking for a supported app through the app center.
