QB informed that it failed to set-up paid family medical leave payroll functions in time for the program's start-date of January 1, 2021 in CT. How will this be fixed?

A paid family medical leave insurance program was enacted in CT 2 years ago effective 2021. Registration has begun. Quickbooks said it won't be ready. This is a failure that will cause me to drop the service. Has anyone else faced this?

Hi there, rwr2. Thanks for providing detailed information about your concern.

I can see that you posted twice in this forum about setting up Paid Family Leave for CT. As mentioned by my colleague Mark_R on this thread https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/reports-and-accounting/re-how-do-you-set-up-paid-f..., right now, CT Paid Family Leave for your employees isn't supported in QuickBooks.

On the other hand, the state of Connecticut has implemented a new standalone Paid Family Leave program, which is funded by the collection of taxes from the employee that goes into effect on January 1, 2021. For more details on this, visit this site: Connecticut's Paid Family Leave.
