Setting up new employee with direct deposit. Getting message that not all info has been entered but it has. Why am I getting this message?

Hi there, @thistles.

There may be too much cache accumulated in the current browser that you're using. This can be the reason why you get the error message not all info has been entered even if you've already input all of your employee's information.

You can fix this by performing some basic troubleshooting steps. Let me show you how.

First, log in to QuickBooks Online (QBO) using a private window and set up again your new employee. This a special mode where the browser doesn't record the browsing activity on the local device, so no trace will be left on the computer.

You can simply press these commands keys to access it:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox).
  • Control + Option + P (Safari).

If you're able to add your employee to direct deposit, then let's clear the cache in your web browser or try using a different supported browser. This might be a temporary issue with QuickBooks and the current browser that you use.

In addition, you'll only get a test transaction after you finished the set up of your company's direct deposit in QuickBooks. This is the reason why you aren't getting another test transaction when setting up a direct deposit for your employee.

In case you're still getting the error message after performing the steps above, I recommend reaching out to our QBO payroll support. This way, they can check your payroll account and trace the cause of the issue.

There are also several payroll reports you can use to view useful information about your business and employees. You can check them out in this article: List of payroll reports available in QBO Payroll.

If I can be of further assistance, please let me know by posting below.
