Should QuickBooks full payroll service file our employer's quarterly report?

We are pleased to have you here in the Community, info15.

Thank you for choosing QuickBooks as your payroll partner. I'd be glad to share with you some information about the full service payroll features.

QuickBooks Full Service Payroll does not only includes running payroll, printing and mailing checks, processing direct deposit payments but also completing all tax forms and payments.

You have the option to file quarterly tax forms electronically or manually. You can e-file Form 941 through your Online Payroll account if it's active for federal electronic services.

To be more familiar with how the filing of quarterly forms work, here's an article made handy for your reference: File quarterly tax forms.

There you have it. Feel free to keep in touch whenever you need help with filing employers's quarterly reports. It would be my pleasure to help.

Should QuickBooks full payroll service file our employer's quarterly report?

In line with the subject of the discussion. I just signed up for the Quickbooks Online including the Full Payroll Service.  As part of the setup process I have to obtain the state tax number from Florida Department of Revenue; in such process the state is asking me for the information of my federal agent FEIN/PTIN that I would be using to pay and submit the Payroll and unemployment tax related reports on my behalf.  Where do I find such information for Intuit/Quickbooks ?

Thanks in advance for your prompt response.

Good day @Juan C Lozano,

Allow me to join in the discussion and share what I know about these numbers.

The PTIN is for paid preparers. A paid preparer is the one who prepares federal forms (941, 944, and 940), like an accountant. If you don't have a paid preparer, don't worry about this info.

The FEIN is a number assigned by the federal government to an employer to track payroll tax liabilities and payments. Please note that this is not the same as your Social Security Number.

The easiest way for you to get a FEIN is to apply online at the IRS website.

You can view this article when you start to create your payroll.  It provides the steps on how to run a scheduled payroll, override taxes or deductions, and print pay checks.
