Hi, @llanescommunications.

A pending direct deposit means, one of the following:

  • You haven't verified your account information yet.
  • The funding bank account is verified but is needed to go back to the direct deposit setup.
  • You haven't yet entered the employee's bank information.

To enter the employee's bank information, check this article for assistance: Set up an employee for direct deposit.

Please keep me posted if you have any other concerns with your QuickBooks. We're always here to help.

Thank you for reaching out so quickly. I've double check all three things that you've mentioned and they're all good to go. but it's still not giving me the option to pay with direct deposit. i'm not sure if maybe i did something wrong? i saw that i hadn't entered my TX SUI info but i just submitted that as well. Is there maybe any other explanation as to why this would be happening?

I'm here to help you activate the company's direct deposit, llanescommunications.

After verifying the test transaction, is the status still shows as pending? If we haven't verified the test transaction yet, I'll show you how to enter it. You can verify the amount either by checking your bank statement online or by calling your bank. The charge will appear on the bank statement as either "QuickBooks: Verify Bank" or "Intuit: Verify Bank".

Here's how to enter it:

  1. From the left menu, go to Workers then Employees.
  2. Click Finish payroll tasks on the main Employees page.
  3. Select Verify the test deposit now.
  4. Enter the test transaction amount in both boxes (less than $1.00). Enter the amount without a dollar sign or decimal point.
  5. Click OK

If we don't have the New payroll tasks button we can enter it in the Payroll settings. Just click the Gear icon and select Payroll Settings. Under Bank accounts, select Company and click Verify account to enter the amount.

We only get to verify the test transaction once. If we get the same pending status, I suggest getting in touch with our Payroll Support Team so we can look into the account and trace it for you.

  1. Go to the Help icon indicated with a question mark and click Contact us
  2. Enter a brief description in the box something like the direct deposit status still shows as pending after verifying test transaction
  3. Click Let's talk and select CallGet a callbck, or Chat depends on how you want to connect with us.

Feel free to get back to us. My colleagues and I are here to help. Keep safe!
