Switching from Intuit Payroll to QBO Payroll

Hello,

Since Intuit Payroll is being retired and we are being pushed over to QBO Payroll in May, I went ahead and tried to make the switch this week. I now no longer have access to Intuit Online Payroll but when I attempt to log in to QB Online Payroll, I get the following error message, "Your administrator has not granted you access to Quickbooks Online Plus. Please contact your system administrator with any questions." I am the system administrator. What is going on? Will I have access to the system by the time I need to run payroll this week?

I can help you fix this, DanCo1.

There are times that your browser is full of frequently accessed page resources, causing QuickBooks Online (QBO) to act strange. I've got a few steps to get this resolved.

You can use an incognito or private window. This rules out any cache-related issues in QuickBooks. Here are shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari (newer versions only): Command + Option + P

From there, log in to your company account. When you're able to do so, go back to the regular browser and clear the cache. This removes all data that causes the error. As an alternative, you use other supported browsers instead of clearing the cache storage.

In case you have some How do I questions, feel free to visit our Help page. We have articles that have detailed information to address your concerns.

Drop a comment below if you still have questions about the issue. I'd be glad to help.

Thank you for your advice. Unfortunately, that does not fix the problem as I tried that prior to posting here.

Switching from Intuit Payroll to QBO Payroll

I did contact customer support. I can't log in so this way to contact support was not really helpful... I had to keep trying links and phone numbers until I found the right person. They said this is a technical problem on QBO's end. My recommendation to any readers of this post would be to wait as long as possible before transitioning because I still have no access to my payroll files and no answer about how long I will not have access...

I just switched our company and am having similar problems. I can't login to either Intuit or QB- both say that I don't have an account.  I can't contact Customer Support since I can't login.  Can you share how you contacted them?

I know a way on how you can contact our Live Support Team without utilizing your current account, @kcoombs.

You can use our test-drive account to get in touch with our Live Support Team. This way, you'll be able to speak with our representatives and determine the reason why you're unable to log in to your account.

The test drive can be accessed through this link: Test drive QuickBooks Online. From there you may follow the steps shared by LieraMarie_A on how to reach them.

Also, to make sure your security during test drives, we don't allow bank connections in sample companies. This security protection doesn't affect any regular accounts.

Additionally, I've included some articles for additional info about this feature. It also includes video tutorials that can guide you along the way:

Please post again if there's anything you need or have any follow-up questions. I'm right here to help in a way that I can. Take care and stay safe always.
