My AZ DES SUI letter provides a new UI rate of 0.04% for 1/1/2025. When I go into the settings to update this rate I get an error that my rate has to be between 0.05% and 14.03%. How do I get Quickbooks to accept my new rate. I believe I had this same issue last year and I had to call quickbooks and have them update it for me. This is only an issue with Quickbooks online
Thank you for reaching out and taking proactive steps to update your SUI rate for 2025, @Whitney34. Let me guide you through how we can resolve this and ensure your payroll settings are compliant and accurate.
You are correct in noting the need to contact our QuickBooks Online Payroll to update your SUI rate. However, I’m pleased to inform you that aside from contacting them for a manual update, you can also submit your official AZ DES payroll notice directly to us:
Our team will handle the update on your behalf, ensuring that the SUI rate in your account is adjusted accurately.
Once we receive your tax notice, we’ll send an email confirmation to the Principal Officer and Primary Admin on file. This email will include a case number along with additional information.
After we complete the update, a tax specialist will follow up with another email detailing the resolution and any steps you need to take next. Please note that this information will only be sent to the Primary Officer or Primary Admin of the account.
You can also keep an eye on the status of your notices within QuickBooks. To do this, follow these steps:
Alternatively, you can email your notice to taxnoticeresolution@intuit.com and then add the notice to your email as an attachment. Acceptable formats include .pdf, .jpeg, .doc or .docx, .xls or .xlsx, .tiff.
