We are direct deposit and just now (8:45 pm) did payroll. Does anyone know what time tomorrow the checks will be in employees' accounts?

Tuesday. Really. Deadline is 5 PM PST for 2 business days ahead. You missed deadline by 45 minutes if you are East coast and that would have got you Monday.

Better cancel and fire up the printer. Friday direct deposits have to be completed timely by Wednesday 5 PM

I'd like to share additional details about direct deposit payroll, bruce19.

What john-pero mentioned is correct. Though, it applies if you're in two-day lead time. Your employees will still get paid if you're in one-day lead time and using Online Payroll Full Service, Premium, or Elite. With these levels of service, you have the option to submit the payroll either before 7 AM on payday or 5 PM on the day before payday.

For QuickBooks Online Payroll Enhanced and Core, you'll need to submit it before 5 PM PST, 1 business day before payday. If you're using any of these services, your employees will get paid on Monday.

Additionally, there's no specific time when the funds will be credited. Though, I can assure you that your employees will get paid before 5 PM, employee’s bank timezone.

You can pull up the paycheck list to see and review the paychecks you created. Using this report, you can also check its status. From the Reports tab, search and select Paycheck List. I've added these articles for more details:

I'll always be here to assist you. Wishing you all the best!
