Welcome @mkzda,

Thanks for reaching out to the QuickBooks Community. I’m happy to help you print your 2017 and 2018 940 forms. Since the forms weren’t archived, here’s how to create them:

  1. From the Taxes menu, select Payroll Tax.
  2. Choose Annual Forms and then hit 940.
  3. Adjust/select the liability period.
  4. Select Archive.
  5. View and Print the form.

There you have it! Let me know if you have any more questions about your historical tax information, or anything else. I’d be delighted to help!

I've tried this, and I'm unable to access past years. How do I change to a past year?

Thanks for posting to the Community, @Nate Hawkins.

I'd be happy to let you access your old archived forms. To do it, I'd suggest contacting our Payroll Support team and have them archive it for you.

They got the tools to pull up your account and archive them using your old payroll data.

Here's how:

  1. In your QuickBooks, go to Help and then select Contact Us.
  2. Type your goal or enter a short query, then select Let's talk.
  3. Choose to start Messaging or Get a callback.

You can also contact us through chat using one of these chat links based on your payroll service:

I've added an article on how to archive the previous year's forms: Archive forms.

Let me know if you have other questions about handling old forms in QuickBooks Online Payroll. I'm happy to help you anytime. Take care, Nate Hawkins.
