Hi there, @IC4U.

The way QuickBooks reports transactions depends on how you record them in the system. You may want to double-check its transactions date and ensure that it's dated in the year 2020.

Follow these steps to check when the paycheck was created:

  1. Go to the Employees menu and select Employee Center.
  2. Click the Transactions tab, then select Paychecks.
  3. Look for the transaction and double-click it to open.

If the paycheck was created in the year 2021, you've to delete or void it. Then, recreate it again to correct your data. If you haven’t sent it to the payroll service, follow these steps to delete it.

  1. Go to the Banking menu, then select Use Register.
  2. Click and open the check in question.
  3. At the top of the paycheck, choose Delete.
  4. In the pop-up box, enter OK.

If you've already sent the payroll to QuickBooks, you can void the paycheck instead. You can check this article for further help: Delete or void employee paychecks.

Once done, you can now recreate it and ensure that the date is correct. Here's how to create a paycheck for an employee

Moreover, you can check out our Year-End Guide for QuickBooks Desktop. This will provide you guidance on what you'll need to close out your books and prepare for the new one.

That's all there is to it. Let me know if you have any issues during this process.  Take care and have a great day ahead!
