Setting up chart of accounts

I got you covered, @TAS61.

Setting up employee information is easy. Let's go to the Workers or Payroll menu and set up your employee from there. Let me guide you how.

In your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account:

  1. Click the Workers or Payroll menu.
  2. Select the Employees tab.
  3. Click Add employee
  4. Enter the employee's info, and click Done.

Here's an article you can read for more details in setting up employee's in your QBO account: Add or edit an employee in Online Payroll.

Additionally, the name of the account in your chart accounts depends on the name you entered. Then, the detail type is the type of transaction you want to track. To learn more about your accounts, I got you these links that provide complete details in understanding your Chart of Accounts:

I also recommend getting in touch with your accountant for guidance on choosing the right account and detail type. This way, we'll ensure the accuracy of your books after creating it.

Furthermore, I'm adding this great resource that guides you in reconciling your account smoothly: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you have other concerns or questions. I'll be around to help you anytime. Take care!
