Setup Walmart card as payroll direct deposit account
I used the routing number and account number provided with the Walmart card and payroll seemed to send as normal. However, a few days later it was returned with the message that I had entered the wrong PIN number. It never asked for a PIN and I never entered a PIN. Can I use this card as a means to pay my employee? I know McDonalds has a similar program where they direct deposit to VISA cards. Can QuickBooks do this? When setting up the account I only have a choice to use a checking account or a savings account.

Let me share some information on how QuickBooks process direct deposit payroll.
When signing up for Direct Deposit payroll, QuickBooks will ask a PIN whenever you send data to Intuit for processing. It's important as it adds an extra security layer of protection to accessing your account from an unauthorized user.
In addition, as long as you have the bank account and routing numbers specific for your card, you can use your Walmart card in processing direct deposit.
