Hi there, steve211.

Can you tell us more details about the general information you're referring to and where would it reflect? We just want to make sure that we're giving you the right information to sort this out.

Please add a reply below to share more details. We look forward to it.

It is in Payroll settings > General Tax it states: This is the info you used when you applied for a Federal EIN.

But the field below it is editable and another line states "Company legal address."  So now the original company address in in there, but the legal address is totally different.

Thanks in advance for your response.

Let me guide you to fix this, steve211.

To start, let's review your company settings. This verifies that the address is correct. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and Settings under Your Company.
  3. Correct the info if necessary. Click the Pencil icon on the far right.
  4. Once done, click Save.

Post here again if you need further help with updating your company information. I'll be right here to back you up. Have a nice day!

I do not need help with how to change the address. I need to know which address is supposed to be indicated: a) the original address or b) the current legal address.

Hi there, @steve211. I appreciate you for getting back on this thread. I'll provide additional insights into your concern.

The address that should be provided in the General tax info from the Payroll Settings is the exact address where your business is located.

Thus, the previous agent provided the steps to review the company settings to verify your company address.

Moreover, you can check out this article if you want to update your legal business address for future reference: Update your legal business name and address.

Fill me in if you have more QBO payroll-related concerns. I'd be glad to assist you further. Take care always and best regards.
