Sick/vacation hours: "Hours accrued per hour paid" changes the number I put in

For sick time, our employees get 1 hour for every 40 hours worked. I put this in as 0.025 under "Hours accrued per hour paid" for all my employees. However, there have been a few times where I've gone in and double checked, and just on some, QB has changed it to 0.0167 (or something like that). And I have to change it back to 0.025. Why would QB be changing what I input? What is causing this so it doesn't happen again? Otherwise, every payroll, I need to go in to each employee and double check that they are accruing the right amount of sick time.

I appreciate the information you provide, @palmerfamilylandscaping.

Let's verify data self-identifies the most commonly known data issues within a company file while Rebuild Data self-resolves most data integrity. I'll show you how to do it.

Here's how:

  1. Choose Window, then click Close All.
  2. From the left menu, select the File.
  3. Click Utilities
  4. Select the Verify Data.

For more reference, you can read this article: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop.
