Since switching from Freshbooks to QB (December 2020), 5 out of 6 payments has been delayed. If Google and Apple can pay within minutes--why does QB take so long to pay?

We've used Freshbooks for years and they never delayed a payment. Typically, we get paid within 1 business day. We only switched to QB because we use your accounting software for taxes. However, from phone, email, chat and Twitter, we are so disappointed with your support teams and service. Why aren't your customer reps empowered to help customers? It appears as if QB is running some sort of backdoor ponzi scheme where millions of client payments are purposely delayed to extract a short-term zero interest loan. Whatever the case--your service and payment time requires massive improvements. What is QB doing to help small businesses get paid as quickly as possible?

Hi there, billing@quantumi.

I'll share some information about processing payments in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

First and foremost, this isn't the variety of customer service I want you to encounter. I'll take note of your feedback and forward it to our higher tier. This way, we can take action on our support.

Since your business is fresh to our QuickBooks Payments feature, the ACH payments will get a little longer. You'll receive the amount within 5 days for the first 1 to 4 weeks while we set everything up.

Rest assured after the first month, your payments will process at the regular deposit time. If you're using a next-day deposit, make sure to process the payments before 3 PM PT. That way, we'll deposit the amount in your bank account in the next business days.

Here's the schedule table for your reference:

Additionally, you can always check the payment status by going to the Sales menu and select the Deposits tab. For more information, check out this article: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments.

I've also added articles about payment fees, fixing hold accounts, and other relevant matters.

Let me know if you have an additional concern in your business. I'm here to help you out.

Thank you for the prompt response, but you have not addressed our issue. Our account is over 8 weeks old (active since 12/10/20) so we should be getting paid on time. For example, right now, according to the information provided in our dashboard, we will have to wait until 02/09/21 to get paid for a deposit that was funded on 02/02/21. Huh? Quick books is in the dark ages in terms of payment terms. You have already lost me as a customer, QB better pick up the pace with payments or you guys will lose plenty more clients...
