Join nowWe are a s- Corp and my husband is our only employee. With the current Cornavirus shut downs we won’t have the funds to pay my husband this month. How do I skip his pay period with out it showing as late from now on? We have him set up on a monthly scheduled payroll.
Thank you
Hello there, @Sigafoos
You can run an unscheduled payroll so you'll be able to manually edit the dates to the next period.

You can always swing by anytime if you need help with anything else.
So I’m not understanding the date change. If the pay period is March1-31 and usually we would pay him April 1 would I extend the pay period to March1- April30? Then if there is another month with out paying him I would just again extend the pay period to March 1- May 30?

I'll help you with your payroll concern, @ssbeck.
We can change the payroll schedule so you don't have to manually change the transaction dates every time you create a paycheck. Here's how:
Once done, check if the dates are already updated.
After creating a payroll, make sure to run the Payroll Summary report to review your employee's total wages, deductions, contributions, and taxes. Just go to the Reports menu and select Employees and Payroll. Then, click Payroll Summary.
