Built-in spell checker is unavailable in QuickBooks Online, Fsiw1919. We'll have to check the language preference of your browser. I'll guide you with the steps.

 

For Google Chrome:

  1. Click the Menu icon, then select Settings.
  2. Click the Hamburger icon, then select Languages.
  3. Under Language, click the drop-down arrow, then select English (United States).
  4. For the Spell check, click the drop-down arrow, then select English (United States).

For Internet Explorer:

  1. Click Tools, then go to Internet Options.
  2. Go to the General tab, then select Languages.
  3. Click Add, then select the language you'd like to add.
  4. Click OK.

For Firefox:

  1. Open the browser's settings.
  2. Go to the Content tab.
  3. Under Languages, select the preferred language.

For Safari:

  1. Go to System Preferences.
  2. Select Language & Region.
  3. Click Preferred Language, then select the preferred language. 

Once done, log out from QuickBooks Online, then log back in. This will help the system to load the settings you've set up.

 

This is a good feature, though! I'll surely share this to our management team. They'll submit this to our software developers for review.
