Tax check list is missing

Hi there, ivanfernando.

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. I'll share troubleshooting steps to ensure you're able to see the Tax checklist icon.

A cache full of history and temp files can cause unexpected behaviors, such as being unable to see the Tax checklist option. To sort out the issue, I recommend logging in to your QuickBooks account using a private browser. This is to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue, and private browsing doesn't store local files or cache.

Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using.

  • For Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

If it works in incognito, I recommend clearing the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. You can check this article to see the steps: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

If the steps above didn't work, use another supported browser as alternatives.

However, if you've already exported your data to TurboTax, the checklist will no longer be available. You can only export your data once. I recommend contacting our Customer Support team. They have the tools to allow you to view the Tax checklist option so you're able to re-export your data to TurboTax. Then, walk you through filing your self-employed taxes.

Please refer to this article to learn more on how to complete the tax checklist and create a file of all your tax documents in the QBSE: QuickBooks Self-Employed annual tax guide. It also provides special notes for our tax bundle customers.

I'm always here to help if you have any other concerns or questions. Just tag my name in the comment section and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
