I appreciate you sharing a screenshot, Jake. The error you encountered indicates that the pay date you've selected falls within the tax filing period that you've already submitted. Let me clarify this further so you can successfully process your payroll.
Once you've submitted your payroll taxes for a specific quarter, you won't be able to run payroll if you've selected a pay date within that period.
Since you need to run payroll on that date, we can delete the submitted taxes so you can proceed. However, if you opt for QuickBooks to handle tax payments and form filings automatically, please know that you won't be able to cancel them on your own. In this case, I suggest contacting our payroll corrections team for assistance.
Here's how you can reach them:
If the taxes haven't been processed electronically, we can delete them by following these steps:
Additionally, please see the attached screenshot, which details the steps for deleting the form.
If you're unable to delete them or there's no option to do it, I recommend contacting our payroll experts for assistance and corrections.
Moreover, you can create a payroll summary report for future reference. It will provide detailed information on your employee's wages, taxes, deductions, and contributions.
By following the suggested steps, you should be able to resolve the payroll issue and proceed with your regular processing. If you experience further challenges, our team is always here to support you, Jake.
Thank you.

Wish QB would have extra protocols and alerts about paying taxes early.
