You'll want to make sure that you've selected the appropriate permission for your location tracking. This way, you'll have the mileage option in your mobile app.

 

If you're tracking mileage in IOS, you can go to your phone settings then set the phone's location permissions to "Always." Also, enable the Motion & Fitness permission for the most accurate trip tracking.

 

However, if you're using an Android, go to your phone settings and set the phone’s location permissions to “Allow all the time." And physical permission to "Allow."

I used it on my cell phone for my business and I have another business I want to use it for but it doesn't show up at all. Can I only use it once on my phone?

The mileage tracking can be used for multiple companies, adamg3.

 

Just make sure that the correct company is open when driving so all trips are recorded accordingly. Follow these steps to switch between multiple companies in the app:

 

iOS devices

  1. Select Settings from the main menu, then select Switch Company.
  2. Tap on the correct company.

Android devices

  1. Select the arrow next to the current company from the main menu.
  2. Tap the name of the second company.

Once done, make sure to turn on all the settings to automatically track miles. Let me share these articles as your guide:

 

Although, you can also follow these steps to manually add a trip if your not using the mileage app:

 

  1. Log in to your account here: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/.
  2. Go to the Mileage menu, then click Add trip.
  3. Enter all details and click Save.
