Unsecured email sent by Quickbooks payroll direct deposit

I have now been trying for over an hour to chat or to call Intuit. Nothing is working. I don't have time for this and to say I am appalled is beyond the issue now. This is more inexcusable lack of support and engagement from Intuit.

Every pay period I see that Intuit is sending an UNSECURED email to my address listing employees paid and the gross amount of payroll. I need this to stop immediately. But because I cannot get in touch with the company that gladly takes my money annually and monthly for this service I can't get started.

If Intuit does not clean up its act and get back in the business of dealing with the concerns of its customers, I'll find an alternative or run my business on Excel.

This is not the service we want you to experience, @Skyinvest.

When you process a direct deposit payroll, you'd receive an email notification. This is sent automatically once your payroll is successfully submitted to the account's primary contact. I understand how important it is for you to keep your employee's payroll information safe and secured. Rest assured, we have taken the utmost regard to safeguard this type of information. You can find the latest information from Intuit on how we protect your data and how you can protect yourself from email scams and other security risks: Intuit Online Security Center.

On the other hand, the ability to manually turn off the email notification is currently not available. You'd have to cancel your direct deposit subscription or payroll subscription. If you're using an assisted payroll, I'd recommend contacting our Payroll Support team. You can send a request through your Help menu, so one of our representatives can reach you. Here's how:

  1. Click the Help menu, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  2. Click the Contact Us button.
  3. Enter a short description of your concerns under the Ask a question field.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Select Get a callback.
  6. From here you can choose to schedule a callback for a time that is convenient for you.

Just a heads-up, we have limited staffing and have reduced our support hours to 6 AM-6 PM PT Monday-Friday due to COVID-19.  Also, they're open between 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM Pacific Time on Saturdays. You can browse this article to learn more about the different types of support we offer at Intuit and its availability: Support hours and types.
