Hi there, @CarrieJ.
Allow me to help share some information about your W-2 forms.
Yes, you can still add your employee's income if you haven't submitted it yet to the agency. Just run your payroll dated as 2018 for this employee.
Let me know if you have other questions about preparing your W-2's. I'm here to help.
Thank you, Lily. I have to add $200 for giftcards that were given to five employees. Of course I have already filed 941 and Florida’s RT-6…will adding this to December pay impact those filings?
Hey there, @CarrieJ.
Let me share a little information about gift cards.
Gift cards are taxable income and can affect your previously filed forms. Let's first check the status of your filed forms to know the best step to take.
Here's how you can check the status:
You'll have the option to delete the Form 941 and FL RT-6 if their status is Not Transmitted. Once deleted, you can run another payroll to enter the gift card amounts on the forms and submit them.
However, if you're seeing a different status other than Not Transmitted, you'll need to amend your filed forms outside of QuickBooks.
