W-2s

My client is very concern about fraud. They want to print the employee's copy of the W-2 with the social XXXed out for the first 5 number. They have seen this done with large companies. However, I'm not able to see how to do that. HELP

Hi SheltonCPA,

 

QuickBooks form is in compliance with the IRS. It is important for them to see the number as per federal regulations to help them record employees' earnings for future Social Security and Medicare benefits.

Thus, removing the first five digits of the Social Security Number is unavailable.
