How can I setup the tax deduction for the first payroll in August? I followed the previous instructions on this site and set it up but QuickBooks calculated the taxes using year to date gross wages.

To correct the taxes, you'll have to enter a liability adjustment for WA - Paid Family and Medical Leave. To get the specific amount, let's run the Payroll Detail Review. Here's how:
