We are operating with QuickBooks Enterprise. We are moving all our employees to direct deposit and I want them to be able to look up their paycheck pay stub information online. I have attempted to get this set up through Quickbooks but it does not work and the help desk person said there was some kind of a problem and they were not sure when it would be corrected. Does anyone have any idea when this is going to get updated. We have around 80 employees that are paid weekly and we are spending a large amount of time handing out pay stubs.

Hello there, @vgardner218.

I appreciate you for considering using direct deposit to pay your employees, and QuickBooks Workforce feature in letting them view their paystubs online. I know these features help you run your business efficiently.

The Community has seen a few users being unable to send invites to employees from QuickBooks Workforce. They are either getting error messages or can't see the employee list.

For now, there's no definite time frame when will this be fixed. Rest assured, when an update is available, I'll post it here in the Community so other users will also know how to fix the problem.

If you're not currently added to the list of affected users,  I recommend you get in touch with our Care Support Team. Through this, you'll also be notified once there is an update or progress of the investigation via email.

In the meantime, please continue to provide pay stubs to your employees either by printing or e-mailing them. Here's how:

  1. From the File menu, select Print Forms.
  2. Click Pay Stubs.
  3. Ensure the bank account and the dates are correct.
  4. Select the employees you want to email pay stub to.
  5. Click Preview to view details of Pay stubs before sending them, then Email.
  6. Save each employee’s pay stub password, then click OK twice.
  7. Enter each employee’s email address, then select OK.
  8. Verify all information is correct, then click Send Now.

In case you haven't set this up yet, you can refer to the following article to check your email settings, employee passwords and some FAQs about this feature: Email pay stubs from QuickBooks Desktop.

Additionally, I'm leaving you some links as additional reference about setting up QuickBooks Workforce and processing direct deposit:

We appreciate your patience as we work through this. Don't hesitate to leave a comment below if you have any other questions about payroll. I'll be happy to help you out.
