I'm glad you check this with us, drchristurner.

 

Seems like you're using QuickBooks Desktop with Assisted Payroll. That said, Intuit will be the one to process the filing of your forms and that includes your W-2, W-3, 1099s.

We have Assisted Payroll with you. Are we responsible for filing the w-2, w-3, 1099s and buying the kits from you or do you file them for us?

We have desktop enterprise professional with assisted payroll.  Our employees have received their W-2's but how do we have assisted payroll file the 1099's.  Is there a special form we fill in or how do they know who our sub contractors are and when do they file the 1099's.  Our subs have not received their 1099.

It's great to have you here on this thread, Carolexx. I've come to share details to help you file your 1099s in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

 

When filing federal 1099 forms with QBDT, you'll have to file these personally. Don't worry, we'll work together in preparing and submitting them to the IRS. 

 

Please know that these forms are due to the IRS and your contractor by January 31, 2023. Also, if your state requires you to file 1099s, you can visit this link to learn more: File your state 1099 forms

 

To provide you with more detailed steps and information, let's refer to this reference to help you create and prepare your forms. Moreover, this includes the e-filing process to help you file them seamlessly. You can also print a copy of the 1099s to send to your contractors.
