We renewed our QB Desktop Pro plan and Payroll support last month before switching to QB Online a few days later. Should we get a refund for the desktop fees?

Hello tctray,

 

When you switch to QuickBooks Online, your QuickBooks Desktop subscriptions are not discontinued automatically. You still need to cancel it manually.

 

Here's how to cancel your payroll subscription within QuickBooks Desktop:

  1. Click Employees at the top menu and select My Payroll Service > Account/Billing Info.
  2. Log in to your Intuit Account and look for your payroll subscription.
  3. Select Cancel Service and proceed with the cancellation process.

Meanwhile, I'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Team regarding the refunds and other fee-related concerns. They can discuss this in details.

  1. Click Help at the top menu and select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  2. Select Contact us and then enter that you get Reminder prompts. 
  3. Select Continue
  4. Choose either to Message an Agent or Talk to a Specialist
