WHAT DOES THE CHECK SYMBOL WITH A STAR MEAN IN THE PAYROLL SUMMARY ONLINE REPORT

I ran a payroll summary report and then added an employee check after I originally ran the first report.  Next to the updated employee appears an icon that looks like a "check" with a "star or a sun".  What does this mean?

The reports in QuickBooks Online have no symbols, mwexler.

It would help if you can provide a screenshot of you're of what you're seeing on the report page. In the meantime, let's perform a few troubleshooting steps to isolate this issue.

First, let's run the report on an incognito window. This help us determine whether this issue is caused by cache. Second, if it looks fine, you can to your regular browse and clear its cache. There are times that a piled cache can cause some unexpected issues on the pages we've opened like QuickBooks.

Lastly, you can use a different browser like Safari, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Google Chrome.

Afterwards, let's run the Payroll Summary report and check to see if you're still seeing the symbols.

You always have me to help you when anything arises.

I wasn't sure how to take a pic so I saved it as a word document. It's not allowing me to upload because of the file extension.

Would it be possible to have an e-mail address Adrian? I can send it to you that way?

We're so happy to have you back and I've read your concern above, mwexler.

I can see that you're getting symbols in the Payroll Summary report. I've double-checked and verified that QuickBooks reports have no symbol as my colleague shared with you as well.

However, I want to make sure that we're on the same page. That said, it would be best to provide a screenshot with this. I'm here to share on how to add an image here.

From the document, right-click the image and select Save as Picture. Enter the file name of this image and hit Save. It will automatically save as a PNG file format that allows you to upload it here.  Also, you can upload it using other file extensions like JPG, GIF file format. That will work!

Aside from that, you can convert it into PDF file since this is one of the supported extensions that help to upload images in QuickBooks Community.

Looking forward to help you fix the payroll summary report. Please know that we're always ready to help with your concerns. I hope you're well. Take care!
