Hi Folks, I just started using QBO Payroll 2 weeks ago with our first payroll run and I am curious when does QBO deducts taxes from my Bank and makes federal and state tax payments ?
Hello @Sirajuddin,
Welcome to the Community. I can provide some clarification about how tax payments work in QuickBooks Online.
Users using the full-service versions of QuickBooks Online Payroll have an option to pay payroll taxes and forms automatically. The time we deduct payments will depend on the due dates of your taxes.
Rest assured, your liabilities will be paid on time and before the deadline. During the payroll setup, you'll be getting options to have us pay and file your federal and state payroll taxes on your behalf or opt out to pay and file them yourself.
If you're unsure of the payroll setup or have any questions related to full-service, I recommend contacting our Payroll Support Team. Our Customer Support Team for QuickBooks Online Payroll - Core, Premium is available from 6 AM - 6 PM PT (Monday - Friday). For QuickBooks Full Service Payroll, QuickBooks Online Payroll Elite/Premium, any time, any day.
Here's how:
For additional reference, I've attached a link you can use to know more about the forms Intuit files in QuickBooks: Tax payments and forms Intuit payroll submits for you.
Please know that I'm just a post away if you have any additional questions about payroll tax payments or the payroll features. Take care.
Thanks Alcaeus
I appreciate your help and I am aware of some of these services that QBO promised me during the setup a month ago.
However, none of this has happened and there is absolutely no way to contact anyone. I have asked for a call back via chat several times and no one calls back.
The overall service is quite bad.
I know this isn't the kind of service you want to experience, Sirajuddin.
Allow me to step in and check why your payroll taxes aren't submitted in the system.
The first thing you need to check is to make sure you've opted to have us file them for you. Or your electronic service is active. Here's how:
If you've opted out or uncheck the box, you need to manage your tax payments and filings in the Payroll Tax Center. No worries, QuickBooks Online Payroll provides you with the necessary forms or instructions to pay and file payroll taxes yourself.
Once taxes are paid, QuickBooks will automatically deducts the amount from your bank account each pay period.
After taxes are paid and forms are filed, you can view and access them. Here's the article for instructions and detailed steps: Access payroll tax forms and tax payments.
If you need to contact us for verification of your Payroll account, please use this link: Contact QuickBooks products and services Support. Please click the your product for the steps on how to get in touch with them.
Let me know if you need more help with your payroll taxes and forms. Just leave a comment below, and I'll bet back to you with the information that you need.
Thanks again
Yes, I am on the Elite plan and so its all automated.
The real problem is actually complete lack of response and respect from QBO. I have been on chat for more than 1 hour waiting for someone and this is my third attempt today.
STILL NO REPLY or RESPONSE from anyone on Quickbook Online Payroll Elite Service !
AND there is no number to call them
