When I download a general ledger payroll file from ADP it goes into all accounts but when I run a P&L report why is is nothing displayed under payroll?

Let me help you reflect the payroll file that you've downloaded from ADP to QuickBooks.
Once the payroll data is successfully imported into Quickbooks, the data will also be reflected in your reports specifically on the P&L report. You can run the Verify and Rebuild procedure to fix any possible data damages. This can also help you fix any strange QuickBooks behavior that you may encounter in the future. Please follow the steps I've provided below:
Make sure to close all the existing windows in QuickBooks.
To verify the data: a.) Go to the File menu at the very top. b.) Select Utilities on the drop down menu and select the Verify Data option.
To rebuild the data: a.) Go to the File menu at the very top. b.) Select Utilities on the drop down menu and select the Rebuild Data option.
