It’s good to have you here, @chinnglenn1.

Before sending payroll, let’s review the Items to Send area to ensure that you have accurate information.

If you’ve modified any payroll information, select the item in the Items to Send list. Then, click View.

If everything is all set, click on Send All. Enter your Payroll Service PIN then select OK.

Once the payroll is successfully transmitted, access the Send/Receive Data window again. This time, let’s make view any important payroll messages or reports.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Employees menu.
  2. Choose the Send/Receive Data.
  3. Select Items Received.
  4. Click View or Confirmation Reports.
  5. Hit Close.

I've sent my payroll and can view my confirmation report, but it will not print?

I'll help ensure you'll be able to print your payroll confirmation report, @KP44.

To be able to print the confirmation report, you can simply follow these steps:

  1. On the QuickBooks homepage, go to the Employees tab.
  2. Select Send Payroll Data.
  3. Go to the Items Received section.
  4. Select a report and click on View.
  5. Click on the Print button to print the report.

However, if the print button is grayed out, you have to double-check your printer settings in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

  1.  Go to the File menu.
  2. Select Printer Setup.

If the Printer Set up won't open or QuickBooks crashes, close QBDT and locate and rename the QBPRINT.QBP file located in the QBDT install directory.

  1. Click on File.
  2. Select Printer Setup.
  3. Select Online, under the Form Name drop-down.
  4. Make sure to select the correct printer, then click OK.
  5. Try printing the confirmation report again.

If the Print button is still grayed out, return to the Printer Setup and choose a different printer, then try to print again and toggle back to the original printer. (If the problem persists, close QuickBooks Desktop and locate and rename the QBPRINT.QBP file located in the QuickBooks Desktop install directory.)

If the Print button continues to be gray, you may have a damaged printer driver and need to delete and reinstall your printer.
