Where to put employee social

Setting up your employee's Social Security number is easy as 1 2 3, @actconstruction2.

 

You can go to the Payroll Taxes Setup and Compliance page and fill out the W-4 information of your employee, which includes the Social Security number. Let me guide you through the steps.

 

  1. Click Payroll from the left menu, then select Employees.
  2. Select the employee you want to enter a Social Security number. Or click Add an employee if you haven't them added yet.1.PNG
  3. Hit the Edit Employee button.2.PNG
  4. Then, go to the What are this employee's withholdings? section and click Enter W-4 form.3.PNG
  5. Select Yes, I have Employee's W-4 Form. You'll be routed to the Payroll Taxes Setup and Compliance page.
  6. On the page, fill out the information as well as the Social Security number.
  7. Click Done once finished.4.PNG
